Richard Edward Connell the author of The Most Dangerous Game was born in Poughkeepsie, New York, on October 17, 1893. His father served in the Ho determination of Representatives for approximately one family before his shoemakers last in October 1912. Connell had a knack for writing since childhood and had become an editor for his topical anaesthetic newspaper, the Poughkeepsie News-Press, by age sixteen.
