Walter Elias Disney was born December 5, 1901 in Chicago, Illinois. Walt married Lillian Bounds in 1925 and remained married for the rest of their lives. He died at the age of 65 on December 15, 1996 from cardiac arrest due to his lung cancer. He was a twenty-two time Academy Award success who was credited as an American film producer, director, screenwriter, voice actor, animator, entrepreneur, and visionary.
Disney travel to Marceline, Missouri in April 1906. There Disney found his love for drawing. Disney and his family stayed in Marceline for four forms and then travel to Kansas City in 1910. There he met Walter Pfeiffer in the Benton Grammar develop he attended. Pfeiffers family introduced Disney to the world of motion pictures. Seven years later Disney was travel back to Chicago were he attended McKinley High School as a freshman. He also began taking night classes at the Chicago Art Institute. In his school newspaper, he was the cartoonist who created very patriotic cartoons that focused on World state of war I. At the age of 16, he dropped out of school to nitty-gritty the army but was rejected because he was too young. He then joined the Red Cross in France for year instead, driving an ambulance that was covered with his imaginative Disney characters.
Disney once again moved back to Kansas City so he could begin his tasty career where he worked at Pesmen-Rubin Art Studio. There he made ads for newspapers, magazines, and movie theaters. He also met another cartoonist, Ubbe Iwwerks, they currently became friends and decided to start their own art business. When their familiarity was formed, they called it Irwerks-Disney commercialized Artists in January 1920. He soon found out that their company was not doing so well so they gave it to his New York financial backers.
