Franklin Delano Roosevelt is known widely as one of the greatest American Presidents to ever take up the mantle of responsibility of caterpillar tread and progressing this country towards a brighter future. Born in Hyde Park, New York, on January 30, 1882, the son of James Roosevelt and Sara Delano Roosevelt. Born into a wealthy family untold of his early education was done at home by private tutors. At the age of fourteen Roosevelt began attending the Groton take aim which then paved the way for his induction and success at both Harvard University and Colombia Law School. On St. Patricks day of 1905 he married Eleanor Roosevelt and in 1907 he was offered and admitted into the New York Bar Association. Then in 1910 he was elected into the New York Senate and began his political career. President Wilson Woodrow nominate him Assistant Secretary of the Navy and he became the Democratic campaigner for Vice President in 1920. In the summer of 1921 catastrophe struck as Roosevelt was diagnosed with poliomyelitis. A disease that can feign the nerves and can lead to partial or unspoiled paralysis. Losing the use of his legs he fought to regain them through vigorous rehabilitation. His tenaciousness paid off in 1928 as he became the regulator of New York.





Entering into his presidency in 1932 at a difficult time in history he unflinchingly took on each dilemma faced by the American muckle and sought to remedy them. In Roosevelts number one world-class address, he said that The only thing we have to fear, is fear itself. With his inaugural speech, Roosevelt had demonstrated his confidence in Americans which in turn reinforced theirs in him. At the time, Americas Great Depression had been ongoing for a number of years and now the hopes of the people rested on one mans shoulders.
