Social movements have been occurring for be very long time. Ever since the proletariat groups decided they could do something about their living and work conditions. They argon a familiar action for social change. Collective groups get together in attempt to bring about change, or resist change, to a social structure. These collective groups do not rely on the existing institutions of power rather they create their own. The powerless groups are capable of opposing the powerful groups because the powerful groups provide the tools and indigence necessary for the powerless to rebel. However, social movements changed as the world entered the 1960s. in that location were shifts in the focus of these groups, the types of communities they were a part of, and the way in which they attempted to make changes in their societal groups. The machines that exist today can perform faster and better than humans at almost everything. The jobs that were one time so important, such as shoe makers and woodworkers, are no longer in great demand because machines are at one time capable of creating these human necessities.
